Join us at The Lillie to meet Rachel Barri, designer and owner of Rachel Barri Designs, for a curated trunk show of her needlepoint canvas designs and self-finishing items — including an exclusive Santa Barbara Lillie hat clip.

About Rachel. A long-time stitcher with a Fine Art degree from Parsons, Rachel launched Rachel Barri Designs in June 2020 after quarantine kept her away from her local needlepoint shop. Based in Toronto and inspired by her love of fashion, her years living in NYC, summers by the lake, and pop culture, Rachel creates fun, modern, art-driven canvases and a curated line of leather goods for self-finishing — designs for stitchers of every level, from stitch to finish.

The exclusive Santa Barbara Lillie hat clip is available in limited quantity and comes fully kitted with all threads and a needle. You can also reserve a spot to learn to self-finish it alongside Rachel using her self-finishing hat clip technique.

An Interactive Hat Bar with Grand Central — on the Garden Patio

And because you can’t have hat clips without hats, we’re delighted to be working with Grand Central, the Santa Barbara hat and bootmaker founded by Edgar in 2019 and run alongside his wife. Edgar will bring an interactive hat bar to our garden patio, shaping and finishing pieces just for you.

Grand Central’s hats are true works of art — handcrafted from materials sourced in Colombia, Bolivia, Mexico, Ecuador and beyond, blending traditional techniques with a modern touch. Each piece is built to endure, an heirloom as much as a fashion statement. Edgar and Grand Central are a fixture at the NFR (National Finals Rodeo), the Round-Up, and private events in Montana, and their work is carried in select stores across the U.S. Expect Panama hats and signature Grand Central styles, custom-shaped at the bar.
